Days ago,  while sitting in the carriage of shenzhen’’s newly constructed subway,I came to find a ridiculous poster on the cabin wall indicating"don’’t eat and drink!". Do you know what it really means in English?

haha,you misunderstood me, I didn’’t mean to let u translate my whole English,I just meant that " Don’’t eat and drink" is a wrong expression!I am sure you know the correct expression to express"BU YAO CHI HE,不要吃喝" in English.

very very simple :"bu yao chi he" should be "Don’’t eat OR drink"!!! hahahaha&#59;

Furthermore, "Don’’t eat and drink"really menas in English:"Don’’t eat while you are drinking" or "Don’’t drink while you are eating".Isn’’t that ridiculous?!
please refer this expression to your foreign colleagu for ascertaining.

other example:
compare:
Don’’t drive and talk! : kaiche shi bu yao shuo hua!
Don’’t drive or talk!: bu yao kai che ,ye bu yao shuo hua !

just as:
I can’’t treasure such good chances: wo tai ying gai zhen xi zhe yang de ji hui le !
I can’’t be thankful enough: wo shi zai shi tai ying gai gan xie ni le .
